Web design and development

This is an interactive developed to show Mario Laserna's Building project. This is a building of the Los Ande's University that was finished in 2007. The goal was to make the complex project more accessible for the university community. The interactive work shows the use of the space floor to floor and in addition there is a display for the principal systems in the building.

The main objective was to make use of tridimentional models as an analitic aproach to the building more than a realistic representation.

This online project combines an interactive 3d visualization with dynamic data, it’s a model of the site and buildings of the Universidad de los Andes’ school of Architecture and design, with academic information tied to each physical space. This application should be an insight of the Universidad de los Andes´School of Architecture and Design.

It’s goal is to permit a virtual tour through the academic programs and the physical space of the school. The data associated to the spaces it’s fully administrable, giving an overview of the academic production of Los Andes’ A+D school.s The 3d design involved the challenge of producing
an overview of the selected site and buildings light enough to be published on the web, and the challenge of embedding dynamic data in a rich interactive environment developed in Flash MX.

As the root component of the Department of Architecture´s Web Project, the Website is a fully Dynamic Web Application that acts as a strong supporter of academic activities like courses, lectures, events, research and publications. The objective of the site is to display day-to-day information as well as deep academic content. The website has Forums where students and teachers discuss a variety of issues, and several learning-oriented satellite online projects and exhibition sites.

This webpage is an actionscript exercise, that using the house methaphor displays a serie of games and exercices, mixing the use of actionscript with mathematics.
The visual style is taken from my brother’s drawings when he was 5 years old.

This project was my first aproach to programming and is the result of a short and personal workshop with the artist and matemathician Santiago Ortiz.
The main interest of this project was the use of programming for building a spacial representation as an interface for the exercises.
